Airborne Downlink
How do you earn the name “The Downlink Experts”?
A decade of experience developing COFDM airborne video downlinks does not hurt. Four generations of industry-leading technology helps. But what is the real key to being “The Downlink Experts”? Listening to your customers.
The Heli-Coder 4 is the culmination of 10 years of BMS customer feedback. Incorporating MPEG-4/H.264 compression, Ethernet input, native HD-SDI capability, and an internal GPS receiver, the Heli-Coder 4 puts all of the features incident responders need in the small, lightweight package law enforcement pilots want.
In addition to analog video, SDI, HD-SDI, Ethernet, and GPS inputs, the Heli-Coder 4 also directly interfaces with popular moving map systems to enable Geo-Point capability in ground receive assets. By incorporating TLL (Target Lat Long) data into the downlink stream, the Heli-Coder 4 enables Geo-Point capable receivers (such as the BMS Carry-Viewer 4) to direct ground officers to the location shown in the video, rather than the helicopter’s location.
