Fixed Receive Site

Air assets constantly patrol their jurisdiction and are called to duty at a moment’s notice.  Regardless of the role, real-time communication with personnel on the ground is critical, and that requires a heavy-duty receive solution.

Fixed receive sites from BMS form the backbone of a statewide, county, or metropolitan video downlink network.  The combination of the DR6000 Six-Way Diversity UHF receiver with VLA series High-Gain Panel Antennas (and an optional Silhouette GPS Tracking Antenna) enables HD coverage with a 50+ mile radius, depending on operating altitude and line-of-sight availability.  Multiple receive sites extend the coverage area and the downlinked video, audio and data can easily be transmitted to central dispatch or a remote monitoring location via the standard ASI over IP interface of the DR6000.  The remote control via IP capability of the DR6000 enables fully remote operation and monitoring when needed to support flight personnel.

Each receive site is capable of outputting SDI (with embedded audio), CVBS, Analog Audio, and ASI over IP for standard definition transmission, or HD-SDI (with embedded audio), Analog Audio, and ASI over IP for high definition transmission.
