Bi-Directional Datalink System

Designed for use in long-range airborne platforms, the STS-E transceiver utilizes DVB-T COFDM modulation with forward error protection, two-way diversity reception and a wide dynamic range to maintain high-quality, full duplex datalinks at speeds up to 25 Mbps in challenging operating environments.

The system operates in the S-band (2.0-2.5 GHz) and C-band (4.4-5.0 GHz)* with a 6.425-6.525 GHz range under development for the future, and is migration-ready for the newest IP architectures. With variable RF output up to 2W, its small footprint (34 in3), light weight (under 25 oz) and IP67 environmental protection make the STS-E ideal for UAV systems.

When combined with the BMS BMA-7100 Tracking Antenna System, the STS-E Bi-Directional Datalink is an economical and high quality commercial alternative to bespoke ITAR digital data links.
