Law Enforcement Application Configurations
DLC50
The new Downlink Control Panel is designed to give the aircraft operator full control of any BMS digital microwave system. The DLC50 universally controls either the Heli-Coder II (HCII) or the new Heli-Coder III. As a replacement for the HCP-50 Series, the DLC50 occupies the same 1.5” of vertical space and easily retrofits into HCII systems using a short accessory adapter cable (DLC-JMPR). The new, bright OLED display is visible even when using polarized glasses. Twenty presets and three definable “hot keys” make operation a breeze. As the control center for BMS Heli-Coders, the DLC50 offers flexibility not available until now. The panel offers two levels of control. The top or simple level is for normal operation, providing a limited, definable, control set that simplifies day to day operations. A second level allows complete configuration and adjustment of transmit or relay (transmit/ receive) downlink functions. The usual controls are still there such as preset select*, channel select*, and transmit off/on. But now other useful controls such as encryption on/off/key change, receiver control, filter and external relay control are all immediately available. Heli-Coder 4 SD/HD Transmitter
The HC4 transmits SD and HD video from an aircraft.
Carry-Coder III SD/HD Receiver
The CVIII receives SD and HD video from a digital transmission source.
DiversaPod Antenna
The DiversaPod antenna is a six-way diversity antenna pod.
Wi-fi Distribution to Multiple Devices
The complete transmit/receive system also enables users to broadcast live video to multiple mobile devices.
Power Voltage Relay
The PVR-100 distributes power from the aircraft to all the components of the Heli-Coder II or Heli-Coder III system. It is the single source of power for the HCII or HCIII system.
GPS Antenna
The Garmin GPS GA-35 antenna is used in the Heli-Coder II and III transmit systems.
GTF-400
The GTF-400 provides a cost effective means of generating tracking telemetry used by ground based antennas to track the aircraft. The GTF-400 Airborne GPS Telemetry formatter combines an integral GPS receiver with a telemetry formatter and FSK modulator in one compact unit. The GTF-400 receives GPS position data of the aircraft with its own 12 channel internal GPS receiver and organizes the data into a standard telemetry format. The data is then FSK modulated with an internal modem for transmission (via an external RF transmitter) to a ground based antenna pointing system. USB Stick
A USB drive is used to load channel plans and update the unit's software. It can also be used to store communication profiles and video capture (depending on receiver).
Antenna Actuator
This dependable low cost antenna is skid mounted (or can be fixed to the belly of the aircraft) and employs an omnidirectional antenna that provides 360° of azimuth coverage. The unit comes standard with breakaway release mechanisms to assure safety in case the helicopter lands with the antenna still down in the deployed mode. A safety wire prevents it from dropping off should the breakaway safety feature be used. | Datasheet
Antenna
The BMS Model BMA-6-OA airborne aerodynamic Omnidirectional Antenna is mounted to the aircraft fuselage. This antenna is of collinear design, which means that no ground plane is required. The antenna may be mounted on a nonmetallic surface. The antenna is protected with an aerodynamic shaped radome which is transparent to the RF field generated by the antenna elements. The operating antenna is capable of withstanding airspeeds up to 300 mph.
CTxx40 ARINC Transmitter
Many applications require a single box solution containing everything needed for high-power transmission covering long distances. This includes the video encoder, modulator, and high-power amplifier. Additionally this unit provides an integrated GPS data interface (optional) which allows excellent positioning of the transmission unit.
The CT2440ARINC provides everything required to achieve 10 W output power within an ultra compact case. The control panel allows the electronic to be mounted within the avionics bay with full control from the flight deck. The Transmitter is compliant with RTCA/DO-160D. | Datasheet
